Today marked our third time setting up a booth at the farmers market, and every experience has been a learning opportunity. The excitement of getting our woodworking creations out there has been as fulfilling as it is challenging. We had a great time meeting other vendors with unique stories and products. There's something special about being part of a community of makers and sellers as passionate about their crafts as we are.
Sales were a bit slower than we’d hoped, but we expected this as we’re still new to the market. This slower pace allowed us to listen to customers and observe what caught their attention. We noticed some of our items drew more curiosity than others, which gave us ideas on which products might resonate best for future events.
In addition to feedback on our products, we also picked up some valuable tips for our display and setup. Adjusting the layout, using props to showcase the items more effectively, and even tweaking our signage has made each weekend an improvement over the last. We've started experimenting with different ways to present our domino sets and other pieces so that they tell a story and invite people to take a closer look. Small changes seem to make a big difference!
Each market we attend gives us more insight, and we’re excited to refine our booth and offerings. While sales may have been modest, we left with a wealth of knowledge and the satisfaction of knowing we’re building a presence, one market at a time. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat, offer feedback, or support our business—it means the world to us!
